University expansion gives John Deere the chance to gain a new facility

Posted by Green Fun Store on 6/2/2011 to Current News/Events of John Deere
For decades, Classic John Deere has been growing so rapidly that the company has to constantly adapt to new surroundings and conditions to encourage continuous expansion. Additionally, the major farming equipment manufacturer takes pride in helping rural communities, particularly in its home state of Illinois. With this in mind, the construction of a new building will be mutually beneficial for both John Deere and the University of Illinois.

According to The News Gazette, the first building in the most recent phase of the University of Illinois Research Park will likely be up and running by the end of this year. Since John Deere and iCyt have both outgrown their current facilities in downtown Champaign, they can contribute to the university's advancements by sharing the new building.

John Deere is more than happy to give students and researchers access to its valuable farm machinery, so this new space is a win-win situation on all fronts. This extent of beneficial agreements is one of the reasons the company has been able to flourish from generation to generation.
