Although properties experienced the brunt of the damage, livestock was destroyed at dozens of local farms. Luckily, no injuries or deaths were reported the night of the storm. At first, this seemed like deja vu to Chester County residents, who were certain that only tornadoes could have caused that much damage. In actuality, meteorologists have ruled this as a case of straight-line winds rather than tornadoes.
Thanks to the spirit of cohesiveness throughout the local farming community, as well as the versatile equipment of John Deere, the clean-up efforts aren't as tedious as they could have been. These valuable efforts will surely make local farm life stronger in the years to come.
