John Deere contributes to storm water demonstration

Posted by Green Fun Store on 4/27/2011 to Current News/Events of John Deere
In rural areas, where the streets aren't always maintained like they are in major cities, the improper draining of storm water can be quite an issue. Not only can it cause flooding and pose immediate safety risks for motorists, but it can also cause the pavement to erode at a faster rate. New York's Chautauqua County is taking the necessary steps to ensure that these problems are addressed sooner rather than later.

According to the Post-Journal, the Chautauqua County Soil & Water Conservation District and the Chautauqua County Town & Village Highway Superintendents Association have combined efforts in order to present drainage solutions to local highway officials, contractors and site developers. This informative event is taking place on April 30th at the North Harmony Senior Citizens Center. In addition to the management of erosion and sediment control, special presentations that feature companies like John Deere Landscape will be included.

Over the years, Classic John Deere has made it a top priority to endorse public awareness and safety practices within rural communities. Events like this only demonstrate the versatility of such a prominent company.
