In Heyworth, Illinois, local high school agriculture students were given the opportunity to see how smooth it is to operate a state-of-the-art John Deere 8270R tractor and a 1770NT planter, according to Pantagraph.com. These new machines have advanced GPS systems that allow them to navigate with ease, making crop production a quicker and more precise process.
"The industry has perfected this equipment to the point where all you really have to do is engage it and then sit back and relax," the sales manager at a local tractor dealership, Chad Colby, told the news source. "It steers itself through the field and even makes the turns at the end. The accuracy is just amazing."
