1:16 scales model 1937 Unstyled Model D NEW Heritage Series Precision
The Heritage Series was developed to be used as a fund raiser for the John Deere Collector Center. Since the Collector Center is now closed, the series is ending. This should make the Heritage Series a highly sought after collectible.
The John Deere Model D tractor was the first Waterloo-built tractor to bear the John Deere name and trademark green and yellow paint. The first Model D rolled off the assembly line in early 1923 and remained in production until 1953, making it the longest run od any John Deere Tractor model.
The Model D had numerous design changes and improvements over its 30 year production run, including:
-
5 flywheel changes, 9 carburetor changes, and 5 magnito changes
-
Rubber tires became standard
